The place is conveniently located just a short walk from the train station. The mountain views from the hotel were enjoyable. The shared bathroom was surprisingly clean, and breakfast was decent. The food provided gave a good start to the day. I appreciated the comfortable bed in the room.

There was plenty of food for breakfast, it was amazing. The location was the best and peaceful, for example, Welschdorfli was at a walking distance from the hotel...

The bed was a bit lumpy, that's my bad luck.

Nice clean room with lots of space and private bathroom. Right in center of town, ten minute walk to train station.

No airconditioning, low window so difficult with privacy when open

Packed with surprises, Good and Bad

The location is good,, surrounded by charm and a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast offered the essentials, including tasty bread and yogurt that kick-started my day!

Noise from lively nearby bars made sleep a challenge, and limited bathroom accessibility left much to be desired.

The hotel was somewhat convenient to the train with a medium walk. It was fairly quiet except the rooms o the back alley. It was clean and spacious. Restaurants, shops and the old city were right there. The breakfast was typical for the area.

The staff was not responsive to requests, the booking did not mention we were in an annex. Steps were involved. Hotel is not easily found. Rooms on the back had a noisy alley behind them.

The location was excellent, right in the centre of the Old Town although it was not noisy at night. Public transport connections were very close by, including the railway from Chur to Arosa which runs through an adjoining street.

It was basic, just rooms and the restaurant. (The basement bar was only open selected evenings Fri/Sat). I would consider it to be more like a guest house than a hotel. I would therefore not recommend it to someone who may be looking for a hotel with a range of facilities.

    cramped room
    check-in issues

The check-in process was an absolute nightmare, with no one there to assist. To top it off, my room was cramped-very reminiscent of camping. I woudl ve been pleased with a room upgrade or at least a complimentary gesture for the hassle I faced, but I guess that's just too much to ask here.

I didn't like anything about this hotel. It had no a/c and I had to keep the window open all night long. And people were yelling all night long since it was the hype street

Charming Location with Room for Improvement

The location's vibrancy really adds to the stay, perfect for exploring. Breakfast offers satisfying essentials. Consider bringing your own USB adapter for charging devices, as the setup here lacks modern conveniences. Expect some noise from the restaurant into the late hours. Earplugs recommended!

    family-friendly location
    plentiful breakfast options
    limited family activities

The location is close to shops and restaurants, especially with little kids. Breakfast was a hit, with plenty of options to satisfy everyone, and the warmth of the staff.

My kids wished there were more family-friendly activities nearby.

It's a fine hotel, clean, good for a couple of nights stay. They have a good restaurant to have dinner. The breakfast is good too, they offer you bread, juice, croissants, eggs, cappuccino... One of the best breakfast that we had in our economic trip through Europe.

They have the worst reception I have haver seen in a hotel. Actually they have no reception at all. They have a restaurant downstairs (which is nice, by the way) and the reception of the hotel is at the restaurant balcony and the waitresses are the ones who check you in and out and (don't) give you all the information about the hotel. We had checked in with a blond waitress who gave us a terrible treatment. She was in a hurry because of the things that she had to do at the restaurant, so she gave us no attention at all, talking really fast, with an ugly face all the time... That was so rude. After we checked in, we went downstairs for dinner at restaurant and the blond waitress ugly face continued... Fortunately there was another waitress at restaurant this time and she gave us a more pleasant treatment. That's the least we expect for the very expensive price they charge for hotels in this town, right? Besides, since it was a hotel (not a hostel) we missed a minibar and there's no lift (which wasn't really a problem for us because we didn't have a lot of lugagge and we stayed at the 1st floor).
